About this Wild Mama
I’m Clare – I’m on the wrong side of 40 with 3 awesome kids a husband and chickens! We live in rural Nottinghamshire with regular trips to the big smoke to fuel my need to see more than five people in a bar at once and to watch the big world, as opposed to the occasional tractor, go by.
This mama runs a house in the country, three kids and two businesses and is a governor at our tiny rural primary school and she can wield a drill as well as the next woman. I have an unnerving inability to say no to anything which means I’m always three times busier than I have physical and mental energy for and regularly meet myself coming the other way!
To de-stress I love to cook and bake. We also love eating and drinking good wine (or whatever is on offer!). As a Coeliac with a lactose intolerant daughter and a veg-dodging son my recipes are always allergy friendly, healthy and perfect for families. We always try to buy fair-trade, free range and local and choose ethical wherever possible.
All about the tribe
My fantastic kids are 6, 9, and 11-going-on-21. As a result, we are currently battling 11 year old girl hormones, the relentless and overwhelming energy of a crazy 9 year old boy and a 6 year old daughter who is trying to outclass them both at every turn. My kids are crazy, brilliant, fascinating and infuriating. They are the reason I get out of bed in the morning and the reason I pass out in a heap on the sofa at night.
